Olivia & Mason Have Arrived!

November 21st, 2008, Mason was born at 10:48am.  Olivia followed, shortly thereafter, at 10:49am.  Mason is a healthy little boy.  Olivia arrived in "fighting" mode and surprised everyone.  Even with her severe LCDH, she cried and began turning pink...all good signs.  Each day, each hour, continues to be a challenge, but she's fighting ever minute.  See our blog for the details, updates, and pictures.  We'll keep you posted each time we have news or conditions change.  Thank you for your continued prayers and support.

A Mom's Dream

For more than 10 years I had dreamed of the day I would hold a baby in my arms and the sense of "completeness" that would come with that. It seemed like a hundred times I held the test in my hands, once again disappointed that it was negative. There have been many mother's days and sleepless nights spent in tears wishing and hoping that dream would become a reality.  I'll never forget that morning my world changed.....more

Hope for Olivia

Words could never describe the joy of this family in learning that Jacy and Doug are not only expecting a baby, but that they are having twins.  Words, also, could never describe the heartache in learning that the baby girl, Olivia RoseAnn, has a congenital diaphragmatic hernia....a life-threatening condition.

This young couple is facing a difficult situation that carries a very high cost...emotionally, physically, and financially.  Pre-natal care is much higher than normal pregnancies, delivery requires the presence of a highly skilled team, and post-natal care can last for weeks, months, or years.

Please feel free to peruse this site and keep this family in your hearts and prayers.

Keep up with current events and interact with Doug and Jacy on their blog.
